[reading] What if disabled astronauts are just better in space?

It's not a great film but Life features a positive portrayal of an astronaut who is paraplegic. I wonder if the screenwriter researched the possible advantages a disabled person might have living and operating in space.

Allen Stroud's novel Fearless has an awesome disabled heroine who thrives in zero-g. Neat series. Whenever the heroine doubts herself it's not because of her disability, it's because of her decisions.
