I've finally persuaded my wife to watch
Game of Thrones! The background to this is that she has been reading the series since it was first published in 1996 (she was a fan of George R R Martin from his book Fevre Dream). Each time the next instalment was released she re-read the previous ones. When the TV series was first announced she worried then that there wouldn't be any more books. As the series progressed and it was obvious that Martin wasn't writing the next instalments she swore to not watch the series. Given that almost 15 years have past since the last instalment was released she has now given up on Martin finishing it and agreed to watch the series.
We're currently at the start of season 3 and it's funny hearing her complain about the little things (Tyrion not being ugly enough, the Stark children being too old) but she is enjoying it.
Season 8 of
Hunted is airing too so I'm catching up on that. The premise is a good one and, if it were not for my disabilities, I would love to be on it. I'm not arrogant enough to think I'd win, but I am arrogant enough to think that I wouldn't make the same mistakes as most of the contestants

Of course, each season they make it harder for the contestants but its one of the few reality shows I enjoy.
Finally, there was season 5 of
Slow Horses. This is the first one where I've read (or, rather, listened to) the novel before the TV version aired so the differences between the two were more obvious to me. That said, I really liked how the show is progressing. Gary Oldman, of course, steals every scene he is in - his monologue in episode 3 is perfection. Can't wait for next year
