What have you splurged on recently? (The Return)

It’s a really well done game. I was fortunate to do some of the play tests with Mark Galeotti when it was called 1510 at a couple of Continuums.

The first book landed from the recent KS!

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh?

My interpretation is "Aaaaaargh - the FOMO surges my precious and it is not mine..."

If so, I empathise.

As I continue my uncharacteristic run of actually buying RPG products, I have finally found a reasonably priced copy of Fight with Spirit which won't require a mortgage for postage. Teenage sports drama? (And remember, sport can be e-sports, competitive team Magic the Gathering or whatever - it doesn't have to be 'sportsball') - I am so in my element. Expect it at a con/table as soon as possible after it arrives!

Like buses, three different games arrived today.

One of which may not be popular with some folks, but arrived from a KS that long predates the controversy and cancelling era. Won’t be running it at a con…

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh

It’s a great resource.

Unexpected delivery… I do love how these just arrive.

So Modiphius are having another one of their clearance sales, yeah?
Willpower failed me again.

Got a couple of sets of JCOM map tiles (£1.50 each) and a notebook (£2.50 I think), plus the sexy combined players+GM book of Achtung! Cthulhu (£35?), a spare player's book (£7?), a scenario book (£8?) and some dice (£1.50?). All in about £60 including postage.

Ha. I tried. I ordered. I was being delivered and then they decided, after it had got to the North East, that they couldn't work out my address and have returned to bloody sender!

This may be a lot closer to the bone than when I originally backed it.

Since I already fell off the "no impulse purchases" wagon last month, I splurged on Humble Bundle's "Roll Big or Go Home" collection. About 50 games for about £30. I figure if I get 2-3 I like out of it, that will justify the cost, plus it will expose me to games I wouldn't otherwise look at. The bundle is still there for a couple of weeks yet.

Enjoyed my Cypher System outings at North Star and LongCon enough that I want to dig into it a bit more. After a long search I found a reasonably priced copy of Godforsaken which is the fantasy genre book. Have it on pdf but anything that cuts down on screen time is a bonus.
