What have you splurged on recently? (continued)

Wow, completely jealous! They're not just staying on a collector's shelf? eBay?
I read about someone who said the kids love playing with Power Cards when in his DnD4e games. And I use Condition cards in my Starfinder and Pathfinder and Wrath and Glory.

Tom here, posted a link for print-it-yourself cards too.

With the above in mind, I sought out and purchased two complete sets for Players Handbook 1 and 2, but seller said I could have them all including the extra Arcane Power, Divine Power, Martial Power, Primal Power.

At first I did not want the extras, since I lack those four extra class books, too much unnecessary fluff for a DnD4e newbie like me. But then I thought, even without those four extra books I can still use extra power cards for running NPCs while limiting PCs to Player Handbook 1 and 2.

I love cards in games, I use them for maps, encounters, NPCs and wargames..

I have acquired Night Below at Christmas and would like to see it played, somehow. I'd go 4th edition...

I have read and will one day use Night's Dark Terrors in anger, maybe with the Reavers of Harkenwold.. I may go 5e or 13A, but in Midgard, because....

Night's Dark Terror was good fun to run when I did it 'a few' years ago as part of my BECMI campaign. Do have a good look at the last part before you get there though, as that's more freeform than the rest of it, and could do with some extra prep work.

It’s great - I think it was the first D&D module I bought and I was always disappointed most of the ones I got afterwards were a bit rubbish in comparison

Ran it for my brother when he was quite young but I think we both enjoyed it.

I did back the Adventure! KS at the pdf level.

I ought to be a bit cautious on shinies at the moment, esp post-TOR, and I still haven't got into Trinity Continuum (has it failed to get a toehold in the UK?), but it didn't seem right to ignore an old friend altogether.

Edge of the Sun for Numenera and Players Guide, Companion and Core Worlds books for Mindjammer. I am grimly determined that my next (true) FtF Game will be Mindjammer
I still have an itch to do something with Mindjammer. It might have happened for North Star, but my brain wouldn't untangle itself in time. (I don't think I'd ever run it in the Core Worlds though - society too repulsive.)

Mindjammer was one of the first Kickstarters I (late) backed (so not a particularly recent splurge); must give it another shot, though I think I would want to be out in the Fringe Worlds rather than the Commonality.
