Temptation waits... what are you resisting?

I personally think it's overpriced, which is an issue I have with a lot of Kickstarers these days.
Just backed Starscape but went softcover as the hardcover costs £24 more!

I’m conflicted on this one

I quite like Sanderson but I am not a huge fan. And I’m not a fan of d20 but this seems like enough of its own thing to potentially make a difference.

It’s going to do epic numbers, that is for sure.
I like Sanderson. I might get round to playing the Mistborn RPG one day, I have it in pdf. However I just don't need to hack 5e or any other FRPG enough to need his/their books. It's fantasy, it's a little different, but it's the setting and that is in the books.

I think I might pick up the World Books, they are 90% setting and art, with just one chapter a bestiary. That would let me convert it quite easily to any other system.

Well, in the end I managed to resist both the Savage Rifts reprints and the Cosmere RPG. I’ll probably pick up the reprint Rifts box when it hits retail. I tried re-reading the Stormlight book I only have finished previously and it didn’t pull me in, so I took that as a sign not to back the RPG.

But wow - the Cosmere RPG is the third highest Kickstarter ever. Which gives Brandon the Gold and Bronze medals.

This is an interesting 'crossroad' temptation.

The undead never stood a chance

Gather up your party for endless tabletop role-playing fun with our Pathfinder Second Edition Bundle of the Dead by Paizo Inc. Experience Pathfinder like never before with new horror themed campaigns and characters featuring the Book of the Dead, the Blood Lords Adventure Path, Lost Omens Impossible Lands, and more. Vanquish armies of zombies and monsters as an all-new customizable character, join the Blood Lords council to rule the undead, or challenge your friends with your imagination and wit as the GM of these horrifying new campaigns. Get everything you need to embark on an epic journey together, and support Take This!

A 54 item huge bundle, including a clutch of PF2e core books, a full Aventure Path, with all the Foundry VTT modules. It will be very good indeed, with a scary halloween undead theme riven throughout. The Impossible Lands setting book is also supposed to be top notch.

Crossroads though. Do I want to take in a large glut of very good Pathfinder? Will I get much if any of it to the virtual table? Am I going back to Pathfinder? I think it might be a logjam moment, where adding to the stack is not what I want to do, regardless of the insanely cheap price and high quality. Perhaps the intimidating weight of unplayed shelves is holding me back, that and a lighter purchasing budget?

And, as the thread title dictates, temptation...

Yeah, it looks a really good fit for you. Perhaps the question should be if it gives you joy and you’ll likely read it. If not, then avoid.

I didn’t back the Troubleshooters adventures because I figured that (1) they’d funded and (2) I’ve not yet properly read or run the game. I can always get them when they’re out.

Having more challenge with the Old Gods one. I really like what I’ve read and it is usually a lot cheaper to back the MCG stuff direct (and you get the PDFs at no extra cost), but uncertain whether I will get it to table. Part of the reason I’m playing @paulbaldowski ’s game at Furnace.

Good shouts there. I missed the Troubleshooter adventures due to a new habit of saving rather than funding, and then forgetting about them! Works well! :)

On that basis, I'll wobble some more and then forget until it is too late.

I didn't realised it was kickstarted. Was this a reprint or a second edition?

The Troubleshooters or Old Gods of Appalachia?

You had me at the Foundry VTT modules... but as a player.. so it doesn't help you at all. It's not like there aren't a milliard games you and I would play together if there were enough hours in the day and days in the week!
However, I have to say I think I have preferred PF2e over all 4e games we have played.
On the other hand, do you want to play Strahd?

I seem to have inadvertently managed to resist this one. I thought it ended today but it was yesterday. Went to have a quick gander and it had finished.

2nd Ed 13th Age - read the free preview, looks like they have tweaked and fixed some bits and added some more. Still 100% compatible with 1st ed (so it says.)
Undecided at the moment (but I haven't run/ played 13th Age for quite a while.) Ben runs a Game every few months or so (which sounds utterly chaotic and great fun, but they don't want Daddo along tut-tutting at their drunken exploits.) I think last Game they set fire to Drakkenhall and then created a tidal wave to put it out; then asked the Three for a suitable payment for saving the city.

@First Age Should we just get the STLs and sweet talk friends with 3D printers?
