[shopping] Temptation waits... what are you resisting?

Don't write it off just yet - it's gaining about $1000 a day and there's plenty of time yet.

But yes, for a boardgame I would expect to see some enthusiastic boardgame review videos (rather than a Youtube video about something else entirely!).
I think the name is pretty terrible in terms of appeal to a wider boardgame audience. In fact the whole theme is sufficiently niche even within Traveller that even a lot of Traveller fans are not going to be grabbed by it.

Tempted because this is a classic system, but worried it will deliver only by 2024 ending, so most likely 2025. Plus, the Players book alone is over 500 pages alone, and then there is a GM and also Monsters book.

Built on more than 12 years of playtesting and hundreds of hours of methodical research and development, ACKS II is a three-volume D20 fantasy RPG with comprehensive mechanics that create a living, breathing world -- one in which the rules function as natural laws, and players are endowed with the agency only objective mechanics can provide.

I'm not close to the issues, but a further complication might be the creators highly problematic stance on a number of fronts.

I have just resisted adding the Eriador cloth map to my pledge for Moria, mainly as I decided that if I was going to do this then I would get a PVC print of the pdf from Pixel2Print. Mainly because of spills.

I did get the Moria map, mainly as it feels like it should be a treasure map.
Or you get two, like I was fortunate to get my second Conan silk map at just 10 quid from Rita Birch of Modiphus at UKGE.

It’s the same overall background as Achtung! Cthulhu. This time the creatures are manifesting as monsters at the frontiers of empire. No doubt there will be some Atlantean / Hyperborean interlinkage too. They actually gave out a lot of the backstory in updates.
