Red Dwarf: The Promised Land
Kryten, the Cat and co are back for this feature-length special of the cult series. True to form, we find the anthropomorphic crew engaged in yet another obscure goose chase, this time as a trio of cat clerics seek solace in Lister as their only saviour from feral leader Rodon. Yes, it makes little sense but it’s a welcome distraction nonetheless.

It's based on some old, unused scripts I believe from Series V or VI. They had the storyboards for it on one of the DVDs and by the sound of it The Promised Land seems to follow the same premise.

That will do

The legal dispute between Rob Grant and Doug Naylor has been settled, with Naylor acquiring the TV rights and control over Grant Naylor Productions. With that a new series has gone into production and a read through happened last week.

Rob Grant has acquired the rights for other media, My Bothan spy has told me that Rob Grant is apparently in talks with Big Finish Productions for an audio series. However, I still need confirmation on that one.

Future Red Dwarf plans have been cancelled by UKTV. Doug Naylor has revealed that channel Dave has backtracked on plans to make more Red Dwarf. UKTV told him he should stop writing a new special as it is no longer commissioning scripted comedy.

RIP
