The Galaxy Calls.

@Dom, @First Age, @hattie

Money winging its way to you. Stuck a couple of games up on the list:

Space 1999: The Arbiter of Pelocra. In 1999 the Moon was torn out of Earth's orbit and now wanders though space. Today the Moon is heading towards a large debris field, which emits weird energy signals... and could that be a distress signal? "...Arbiter of Pelocra... requests assistance... attacked... sabotage... must be delivered at all costs..." Commander Koenig sends your team to investigate.

Grey Area: Lost Luggage (Blade Runner system). Based on 2000AD's Grey Area series by Dan Abnett. “ETC team urgently needed in Baggage Reclaim Hall 6-9-Beta. We got some exos kicking off because their leader doesn’t know where his towel is!”
NORTH AMERICA, 2048. The Global Exo Segregation Zone (aka the ‘Grey Area’) is a huge holding area in New Mexico housing all manner of aliens hoping to visit earth: a melting pot for alien disputes, crime and inter-species misunderstandings! The only thing standing in the way of chaos are the Exo Transfer Control squads - that's you guys.

I think I've wrangled the finances but just wanted to check to see if there was any special offer on with the Garrison for hotel bookings before I booked a room through their website :)

Thanks. Will give them a call tomorrow then :)

My intention here is to Traveller on Sunday and Blue Planet Recontact on Saturday.

Just choosing the scenario for Traveller.
Blue Planet will probably be a 3rd part for Red Sky Charters.

I am torn.. part of me think I might miss North Star and go to TravCon.. part of me thinks "North Star Forever"!

Room booked and sign-up paid :)

North Star Status update 23rd March 2026

We now have 51 people signed up.

We have enough games in every slot except slot 3 - we could do with another game or two (we've 39 spaces and 45 people have said they want to play that slot)

A couple of people have offered games without adding numbers for players. I have added either (4) or (5) players as a baseline for those games depending on where they are based.
• Caveat - 51 people signed up but only 47 want to play in 3 slots and 45 in the other two? Are people planning a bar visit for the weekend?

I've added a large friendly warning on the spreadsheet but it doesn't actually stop someone deleting it!

I will be closing registration very soon as we are in balance.

30th March 2026

Hello everyone, time for a quick update.

Registration is now closed, but we will keep a wait list.
We’re at a point where numbers are finely balanced for the number of game spaces vs players, and adding more attendees would trigger the need for another game in each slot and more attendees!

GMs - please can you complete your game descriptions (including tags) by Sunday 12th April, after which I will open GM pre-booking.

Players - I will open player pre-booking for games once GM pre-booking is done.

Thank you.

Perturbation in Paliphone
Cepheus Universal

Referee: Graham

Your inefficient, credit leaking, old brick of a frontier trader clumsily lurches into the Paliphone system, as you follow the Diadem Main deep in the heart of the Vanguard Reaches. The 'Deep Pockets' carries cargo that you're hoping to either sell for some measure of cost recovery, or acquire more consignments into the cavernous hold, possibly with some passage. A standard cargo run along the stub end of a quiet and inconsequential trade route.

The reprobates from 2024's 'A Ticket to See Oasis' are back once more to remind us that there is no such thing as a standard cargo run...

Tags: Accountancy, Mystery, SF Horror, Needless detail

This game uses Cepheus Universal, which plays very similarly to Mongoose Traveller.

Red Sky Charters - Making Ends Meet
Blue Planet: Recontact
Slot 3

"Anything, anywhere, anytime...
Yep, that’s the company slogan at Red Sky Charters. Little did Uncle Carl know how true it would turn out to be when he put up that stupid sign. Said it was more of a joke than a promise, but if he could see you now - instead of having gotten himself lost at sea - he wouldn’t be laughing. The things we have to do to make ends meet."

Red Sky Charters - join a native Poseidon found family running a small restaurant and a charter boat as they try to make ends meet and not get in trouble with the GEO, the Incorporates, and the native rights movement.

Deliverance
Blade Runner
(Replicant Rebellion)
Slot 5

Los Angeles, 2037.

A key leader in the Underground has been captured by the LAPD and will be extradited to the Off-World Colonies where she'll face a show trial and retirement. Can your crew of Replicants and Radicals save her?

Only one GM left to fill in their game details.
Aside from that, I'm ready to open GM pre-booking once they've completed their details.

I'm not that GM, just to be clear.

North Star Update - 13th April 2026

Hello GMs!

GM prebooking is now open! Please complete your choices on the GM prebooking tab by Sunday 19th April!

If you've not done this before, it's simple. You will have one prebooking available for each game you're running (well, with the exception of the one person running 3 games, who will have two pre bookings as there are only two slots left to book).

Each prebooking lets you list games in order of preference (just add in their title and slot number). I recommend you fill them all in. They don't have to be in the same slot.

When everyone has done this, then I will run a randomiser to determine the order to allocate. When your turn comes up, I try and allocate your first choice. If the game is full, then I will try your second choice and so on.

To be fair to players, we won't ever fill a game more than half way (so 2 GM berths for a 4 player, 3 GM berths in and 5 or 6 player game).

Give me a yell if you have any issues!

North Star Update - 19 April 2026

Hello everyone!

GM prebooking is complete, so now it's time to open the player prebooking, which is found on the cunningly named "Player Prebooking Sheet" on the timetable spreadsheet.

How to fill this in?
You'll see a list with your name and a number appended after it. For example. "Dom Mooney-1". The number is the slot you're booking. Alongside this is a set of 6 pre-booking choices in order of preference. Please fill as many of them as possible as some games are popular and are quite full already with GM prebooks. I've highlighted those games in yellow. You really want to make them a high priority choice if you want to play in them.

Details of the game are on the "Game Details" slide and if you want to see who has prebooked into a game already, have a look at the "Confirmed Game Bookings" tab.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Please complete filling this in by Sunday 26th April 2026.

Hopefully filled it in correctly :D
